They can use a service provided by a company called Klarna that allows them to make their payments in installments. After agreeing to the terms and conditions of Klarna during purchase, your installment payments are received by Klarna and then remitted back to Etsy. 

 

For Sweden Buyers

 

There is also a Klarna situated in Sweden but works in a different way from the above-described Klarna. It is called Klarna Pay in 30 Days. it is available to users in  Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, and Norway. It basically allows its users to pay for their purchases after they have received their orders. 

 

For Netherlands, Germany, and Austria Users

 

Users in the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria, are provided with services from iDeal and Sofort banks. the iDeal is available in the Netherlands and Sofort is available in the latter two countries. Just like in using PayPal, you will be redirected to a website managed by the banks to authorize your payment. After you have done this, you’re taken back to the Etsy page automatically to finish your purchase. If you are having problems with using any of the Etsy-approved payment options you can check if they are available in your region.
